Sypnosis: The
story is set in the year 2138, at a time when virtual reality games are
still booming. Yggdrasil, a successful online game, will quietly shut
down one day. However, the protagonist, Momonga, orders the session not
to close. Later, Momonga becomes the image of a skeleton as "the most
powerful wizard". The planet continues to change and the non-player
characters (NPCs) begin to feel emotions. Without parents, friends or
place in society, this momonga boy aspires to conquer the new world that
the game has become.
