Manga author Satoshi Mizukami revealed on Monday that his manga Hoshi no Samidare ( The Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer ) is inspiring a TV anime that will premiere on July 9, 2022. Nobuaki Nakanishi will direct the anime.

Synopsis: Yuhi plays the Beast Lizard Knight, and despite his misgivings, he is immediately forced to fight off the golem created by the mage. He is rescued by his neighbor, Princess Asahina Samidare, and he pledges allegiance to her. However, the princess has no goal at all to save the earth. She tells Yuhi about her true motives: to stop the Animus from destroying the earth, but will later destroy the world with her own hand. The pair continue to fend off Animus golem attacks as the remaining Beast Knights slowly assemble and learn how to use their powers. However, Yuhi must decide for himself whether to continue the plans of Asahina, whom he is getting close to, or save the earth. In the process, he must also face his true self and decide where his loyalty really lies.
